John Michael discussed Puritanism in his post last week and this, coupled with news of their impending second album, triggered my memory of These New Puritans. A favourite band of mine both sonically and aesthetically, they have been flying low on the radar, presumably cobbling together choice cuts for the new album.

Their dark, minimal yet intense sonic stylings were always replicated in their minimal get-up, and I felt that their progression towards that dangerous second album presented the perfect opportunity to muse over their past outfits
